Katherine Payne, Founding Editor
The Cochrane Post is a local monthly community paper founded and published by local writer and Riverview resident Katherine Payne.
A technical writer and designer for over 30 years, Katherine began her career with the Olympic Torch Relay campaign for the Calgary Olympics and specialized in communications for hi tech and not-for-profit organizations in Calgary including Inn from the Cold, the Calgary Humane Society, Alberta Wildlife Rescue, the United Way and The City of Calgary.
She is the founding editor and publisher of the Okanagan's favourite community paper, The Westside Post. When she moved to Cochrane in May of 2022, a similar paper was created and customized for her new home town.
